Kazimierz, the Schindler’s List - the best-preserved former Jewish quarter in Europe.
The history of the Jewish community in Cracow dates back to the XIII century. Before World War II there were almost 70 000 Jews living in the area, which cosntituted 25% of the town's population. Jewish culture flourished manily in Kazimierz, once a separate town, incorporated to Cracow in the beginning of the XIX century. The tour takes you to the best preserved Jewish district in Europe. You are going to see the oldest preserved synagogue in Poland, places where Steven Spielberg filmed "Schindler's List", the famous Oskar Schindler's factory, the former Jewish getto in Cracow and the only Jewish synagogues that are still in use in the south of Poland. You will also see the best art galeries in the town during the tour.
