About Zakopane
Zakopane, a mountain resort nestled at the foot of the spectacular Tatra mountains and boasting breathtaking views of Poland's countryside. Zakopane is the winter capital of Poland and its most famous resort thanks to its splendid natural scenery, its pistes and hiking trails, and a rich folk culture. During the winter time, plentiful snow and challenging slopes make for excellent skiing while the summer months offer hikers mountain lakes, glacial valleys and waterfalls.

Tour details
The tour starts with a visit to the lovely old wooden village of Chocholw including visit of Folk Artist workshop if possible, then ride up to the top of Mt. Gubalwka to see a wonderful view of the Tatras. After a short walk around the peak, return down to visit the oldest part of Zakopane where the old cottages of the mountaineers still stand, surrounded by ash trees and blackened by the sun. These wooden houses and churches were built in the Zakopane style by the remarkable Polish artist, Witkacy. To better experience the true Zakopane atmosphere, take a walk along Krupowki, the central mall, lined with restaurants, cafes, boutiques and souvenir shops. Here you will have a lunch break. To complete your experience, you have a chance to visit the enormous regional market and enjoy lunch in a regional restaurant serving local specialities. If you wish to find out more about this unusual region you can visit the Tatra Museum. The last stop in Zakopane is ski jump and FIS ski slope 'Nosal' and beautiful chapel in Jaszczurwka with extraordinary stained glass window. Around 16:00 departure to Cracow.
